I could stare at this for hours. I think I could make this and save myself at least $1,400.00

This Dandelion Paperweight must be so neat to stare at. I would love to have that sitting on my desk, but there has to be a way to duplicate that. I mean it is a weed and what? Maybe resin of some sort....I'm going to work on that one.

I was looking for organic play dough and I came across this. I also found a simple recipe so I think I will do what my mom did and make it myself.
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cups water with several drops of food coloring added
4 teaspoons cream of tartar
Mix ingredients together in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly until mixture thickens. Remove from heat and turn dough onto a plate to cool. Store in a covered container or plastic bag.

Funny I should mention Amy Butler- I just recieved my Jolly Pack from Fat Quarters! So many pretty pieces....

The English have always known how to spend the weekend"at a country house, reading poetry, roaming hedgerows, and playing games. First published in 1924 and a runaway bestseller, this delicious book is a peek at life in England between the wars (think Agatha Christie and Masterpiece Theatre) and"a useful mini-encyclopedia, filled with games, recipes, bird-spotting information, first-aid instructions, and random, often wacky instructions" (New York Times). Learn the proper way to kiss in the ocean, eat mice, play "Human Sacrifice," and more. Virginia Woolf hated this book. Fie on her. Hardcover, 368 pages.

Baby toes are scrumptious—you’ll tickle them, nibble them, and dress them up, if you really have to, with our easy-to-make baby shoes. Felt is the ideal fabric to work with, since it won’t unravel when cut. Add subtle detailing here and there with punched holes, trim, or snap closures. These pastel gems are so adorable, you might find yourself making a pair for every occasion.

"A bag with a decorative silhouette is more than a useful carrier; it’s a conversation piece. Any profile—your child’s, your own, or a friend’s—can be enlarged and used for the template. Start with a store-bought burlap tote, or make one and add twill-tape or twig handles. The head and necklace were drawn with a disappearing-ink pen and filled in with cross-stitches. You can make the bird and branch in two different colors, as shown here, or in black only for a look more evocative of the Victorian era."

"Just imagine the soapy fun this will make bathtime! It's for young and old alike...just like the summer treat. Scented with the classic neapolitan flavors of strawberry, vanilla and chocolate, this is all the fun but none of the calories."

I love these sweet little sugar mold and i think they could be made into any shape. There are so many neat sugars out there you could use organics or flavor infuse sugars too.
Ingredients
2 cups granulated sugar
4 teaspoons water
Directions
Place sugar in a mixing bowl. Make a well, then add water. Add coloring if desired. Mix by hand, kneading for about 1 minute until sugar is moistened and feels and packs like wet sand, making sure there are no lumps. Keep sugar mixture covered with damp cloth when not in use. For a sparkly effect, add 1/4 teaspoon of gum arabic to mixture. Press into molds.

"New heirlooms uses vintage ceramic pieces collected in charity shops in the UK and Denmark, overlaying them with hand cut and printed transfer patterns. Rejuvenating discarded objects with new patterns, and creating a collection of one off pieces, the story of these objects is continued, added to, highlighting the work of the charities involved, as well as creating links with our past, rekindling old memories and creating new ones."
I would love to learn how to do this!
