Cat Paws Rug

This rug just makes me giggle. Its hand clipped to look like there might be an invisable cat walking across it. This seems like something I could do myself. My scissor sharpening guy told me that carpet guys use horse clippers to trim the edges of carpet. I wonder if dog clippers will work?
