Finding Domestic Goddesses In Strange Places
We just arrive back home from a long weekend in San Fransisco. We went up there to gather our boat up and bring it back home to So Cal for the winter for repairs, new hardwood floors and perhaps a home once the world economy comes to an end and we need refuge.
Saturday morning as we set out in search of nourishment we discovered that we had timed our visit to Pier 39 ( where the boat was docked ) on what turned out to be the busiest of all weekends there, Fleet week. As we rounded a corner I noticed that there was a Mrs. Meyers trailer setting up for a day of show. I peeped in and discovered that low and behold- Mrs. Meyers herself was going to be hawking her own wears! I had to say hi and ask for a photo. She was so sweet and so warm and p.s., she is coming out with a new peppermint scent for the holidays. mmmmmm. (free hand care set with $50.00 purchase!)
After a super yummy breakfast of Bloody Mary's, sausage omelets and croissants we walked over to a book store so that I could pick up another Christopher Moore book, Lamb and found that Syuzi Pakhchyan of Fashioning Technology was doing a demo and book signing. Yay! 2 fantastic souvenirs in one morning!
