Nusskubus Nutcracker

"This simple nutcracker consists of two beechwood cubes with three varying hollows carved in the sides making it ideal for cracking an assortment of different-sized nuts. Simply place a nut in one of the hollows and slam the two cubes together. Included in Destination: Berlin, our limited-time product collection celebrating the city's young and dynamic design scene."

I think this is totally DIY-able. Just use some of your srap wood or even find a new piece. If you start now you could even master this and present it to your father-in-law who is sssosoooo picky at Christmas. Just a little tip on the finish tho- use a cutting board oil instead of any kind of polyurethane. It's safer for consumption.
